Ryan Timms races into both World of Outlaws features at Cedar Lake
Kicking off his Fourth of July weekend with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series, Ryan Timms unloaded his CITGO/Hampel Oil/Mystic Lubricants backed No. 5T Sprinter at Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wis.) on Friday afternoon for the two-day Independence Day Spectacular.
Drawing 32 cars to the 3/8-mile oval, Timms stopped the clock 10th-fastest in his group before placing third in his heat. Slated to start the opener in 12th, Ryan failed to make the call for the 30-lap affair.
On Saturday, Ryan squeezed into the $10,000-to-win Independence Day Spectacular finale with a fourth-place finish in his heat race. After challenging for a top-10 run the majority of the race, Timms faded in the final five circuits of the 35-lapper to finish 18th.
