Timms competes with World of Outlaws at Volusia Speedway Park
Joining the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series for the Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals, Ryan Timms unloaded his Western Flyer Express No. 5T Sprint Car at Volusia Speedway Park (De Leon Springs, Fla.) on Wednesday to kick off four consecutive nights of racing.
Following an eighth-place finish in his heat, Timms raced forward in his B-Main but failed to transfer into the opener with a seventh-place outing.
On Thursday, Ryan stormed into the $12,000-to-win A-Main with an eighth-to-fifth run in his heat. Losing one spot in the 25-lap affair, Timms rolled to an 18th-place outing.
Back at the half-mile oval on Friday, Timms’ seventh-place finish in his heat relegated him into a Last Chance Showdown. Needing to place second or better make the feature, Ryan fell short with a seventh-place finish.
The DIRTcar Nationals weekend came to an early end for Ryan on Saturday after he was involved in a multi-car tangle in his heat.
